As part of The Cubefunder Spotlight, we are proud to share an exclusive interview with Euan Inglis, Commercial Director at Queens Park Rangers.
Since the start of our partnership last season, Cubefunder has worked closely with QPR to build a relationship rooted in shared values, long term vision and meaningful community impact. In this interview, Euan reflects on how the partnership began, what stood out about Cubefunder as a partner, and how the relationship continues to grow.
Can you introduce yourself and your role at QPR?
I’m Euan Inglis, I’m the Commercial Director at QPR. So, anything revenue generating, such as ticketing, sponsorship, retail, hospitality, marketing, all comes under my remit.
Can you tell us a bit about the partnership between QPR and Cubefunder?
The partnership started last season, Cubefunder came in as our training wear partner. There’s a number of assets associated with that partnership, so obviously branding and the training wear. There’s a number of digital assets on match days, hospitality, media backdrops, as well as engagement with a fan base.
What stood out to you about Cubefunder as a partner when the sponsorship was agreed?
Another reason why Cubefunder stood out as an ideal partner of the club was the historical connection. Abbie, who is part of the senior management team at Cubefunder, has a historical tie with the club. Her great grandfather was instrumental in the formation or the merger of St Jude and Christchurch, which merged to become QPR. There is a real historical connection there, which was also very appealing for the club.
How has Cubefunder’s support contributed to the club, both commercially and within the wider QPR community?
From a club perspective, Cubefunder has fully integrated into the partnership programme, from brand awareness to multiple match day activations and initiatives run with their database.
Equally important is the community impact. Cubefunder became heavily involved in a Christmas programme supporting local hospitals for sick children, the Jack Tizard School for children with varying disabilities, and the local food bank. A significant donation was made across these three areas, enhancing several community projects during the festive period.
Why is it important for QPR to work with partners who align with the club’s values and long term vision?
It is really important for the club to align with partners who buy into what we are doing from a mid to long term perspective. Cubefunder absolutely gave us that impression from the outset. We see ourselves aligning with Cubefunder for the long term, and there are a number of exciting developments planned for next season following the extension of the partnership.
How has the relationship with Cubefunder developed since the start of the partnership?
The wider Cubefunder team has been very involved in maximising the rights within the partnership and activating them collaboratively. Their involvement with the Trust and wider West London community projects has been fantastic.
What does a successful partnership look like from the club’s perspective?
For QPR, success is built on long term relationships. The club does not enter into one season partnerships. When we met with Cubefunder, their vision aligned with ours, and we hope to see a strong and lasting future together.
How do you see the partnership with Cubefunder continuing to grow in the future?
The partnership has already grown from year one to year two and will continue to expand. Additional properties will be announced soon, along with further initiatives that will strengthen both the commercial and community aspects of the relationship.
This interview highlights how shared ambition, local connection and community commitment can form the foundation of a truly successful partnership.
