Flackwell Boxing and Fitness is more than just a gym. For many of its members, it is a lifeline.
Mark Russell, owner and head coach, explains what the club truly represents. People from all walks of life walk through the doors to build confidence, improve their mental health, stay focused and feel part of something positive. Children who have never boxed before train week in and week out, learning discipline, resilience and self belief. Adults of all ages rediscover their spark, finding routine, purpose and belonging through training.
That sense of community is at the heart of everything Flackwell Boxing and Fitness does.
Running a community gym is not easy, especially with rising costs and increasing pressure on grassroots sports. Our sponsorship is helping Mark and his team keep the doors open, upgrade essential equipment, support fighters travelling to boxing events and introduce new classes for the community.
Most importantly, the sponsorship allows the club to reach even more people. With Cubefunder’s backing, Flackwell Boxing and Fitness can now offer more subsidised sessions for children and families who may not otherwise be able to afford them. This helps ensure the gym remains a safe, structured and welcoming space where people can train, grow and feel supported.
Looking ahead, the club’s ambition is clear. To keep growing, to keep supporting the local community and to hopefully produce a few future champions along the way. Above all, the goal is to remain a place where anyone can walk in, feel welcome and leave feeling stronger both physically and mentally.
